Back to the good ol' days
Our brand was built around one particular muse, Slim Aarons. He famously shot glamorous poolside parties in the 1960’s, where every house had an employed Pool Boy, and hence our name was born. The pools take their names from the quirky characters you’d find at those parties. Our second collection, La Piscina (The Pool in Italian), nods to Aarons’ La Dolce Vita series. It’s a theme we’re always playing on.
Founder Story
Our founder, Rae is Australian at heart, but Pool Buoy’s journey took her to Italy, where she balanced family life, the school run via the most perfect caffe macchiato, and building the brand. Surrounded by style, sun, and the Italian way of celebrating summer, she found new inspiration. The result? La Piscina—a collection that blends Australian backyard nostalgia with a touch of European flair. Because for us, a pool isn’t just a pool—it’s a way to live summer beautifully.
